Digital India week celebrated at Community Cultural Center, Rajarshi, Udaipur

Udaipur,6July2015: Giving the best priority to digitization, the Government of India launches a programme Digital India Week. The programme of Digital India Week on Monday has been celebrated on behalf of Gomati District Administration at Rajarshi Hall in Udaipur. Many dignitaries like the Editor of Tripura Samay Subrata Deb, DM and Collector of Gomati District Sonal Goel , Sahakari Sabhadipati of Gomati Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samity Chairman/ BAC Chairman of eight Blocks were present in this programme. The Deputy Collector of Gomti District Nihar Ranjan Das delivered the welcome speech.The state Tripura also trying to develop IT sector through several initiatives like Tripura State Wide Area Network (TSWAN), Agartala City Area Network (ACAN), State Data Centre (SDC), Common Service Centers (CSC), State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) and State Portal (SP), E-Governance Services and Applications, Vahan and Sarathi (Transport), Tele -Medicine Centers, Tele-ophthalmology Centers (vision centers), e- district and so on. Giving more important on information technology, the government of Tripura is setting up Software Technology Park at Lichubagan Market Complex and another at IT Complex cum STP at Indranagar, Agartala. Objective of this initiative is to promote IT sector in the state Tripura and also to create employment avenues to the IT educated youths. The District Project Manager for Gomati District Hillol Das has given a lecture in the programme with PowerPoint presentation on Digital India. He also discuss about all kind of features of Digital India Week campaign and its usefulness. This digitization initiative should be helpful for all users. District Magistrate of Gomati District Sonal Goel also gave an elaborate account of the Digital India Week. She informed all the concerned audiences to use the available e-governance infrastructure as much as possible. The hall was packed with enthusiastic audiences.
